Understanding Colonoscopies

What You Need to Know

Colonoscopies are a critical tool in promoting and safeguarding

digestive health. This minimally invasive procedure allows your

physician to visualize the entire inner lining of your colon and

rectum, providing invaluable insights into potential abnormalities

and facilitating early detection of colorectal cancer.

Screening Goes

Beyond Cancer Detection

While getting screened is instrumental in the early detection

of colorectal cancer, they also shed light on a spectrum of

other gastrointestinal conditions.

FAQs

What is ColonoscopyAssist, and how does it work?

Colonoscopy Assist is a program that promotes affordable colon cancer screenings by negotiating discounted rates with top gastroenterologists nationwide

Can I use your program if I’m underinsured or self-pay?

Yes, you can! ColonoscopyAssist was designed as an assistance program to help the uninsured and is the reason we exist.

Who is eligible to benefit from ColonoscopyAssist

To schedule with ColonoscopyAssist, there’s just one simple requirement:

You must be paying for your procedure out-of-pocket.

That’s it! There are no restrictions based on income, residency, or immigration status.

What types of procedures and services are available through your program?

The following services are provided at affordable pre-negotiated rates:

1. Colonoscopy (screening or diagnostic)

2. Upper Endoscopy

3. Hemorrhoid Banding

4. Sigmoidoscopy

5. Cologuard

6. FIT

How long does it take to be scheduled? When can I expect my appointment?

Scheduling through the program is the same as scheduling at most gastroenterologist offices. Most patients are able to complete their procedure within 2 weeks of submitting their scheduling forms.

What are the payment terms?

Payments are due after an appointment is scheduled and can be made with credit card, check, money order or HSA card.

Will I get my procedure reports and results?

Yes. Just like any other medical service, you will receive a detailed report from the physician office after your procedure. A copy of your report can be sent to your primary physician upon request.

Does the rate change if I have polyps or biopsies?

No it does not. Finding polyps is integral to preventing cancer and we support the philosophy of finding, removing and testing as many polyps as possible. All polyps are sent to a lab for testing and our all-inclusive flat rate includes polyp removal and pathology for any number of polyps or biopsies without restriction. This means that 2, 3 or even 12 polyps could be found and you would not be responsible for any extra cost.

Typically, the cost of pathology is significant. As a self-pay patient, pathology from just 4 specimens could cost just as much than the procedure.
